Trenčín versus Steaua Bucureşti, UEFA Champions League Qualifiers

Qualifiers for Europa Champions League starts this week, and we begin with every year participants, FC Steaua Bucuresti, the Romanian team who in 2005/2006 reached the semis being transfered fromUEFA Champions League third qualifying round and next years managed to reach group stages, or round of 16 and 32. We can also mention that one of the biggest home and away victory in UEFA Club competition and also UEFA Cup – Europa League was against Aalborg BK on 18/09/2014, group stages , winning the match by 6-0 and one of the heaviest home defeat was a loss in favour of VFB Stuttgart by 1-5 and a 5-0 defeat against Maccabi Haifa FC. They`ve most defentely had a lots of ups and downs but they`re always trying to improve and achieve experience playing against big, strong opponents in every given occasion.

Today they will start the journey by meeting AS Trencin, in thefirst round of the second prelimnary tour in Europa Champions League, a relatively young Slovakian Club, founded back in 1992 and are in a kind of partnership with Ajax Amsterdam, one of the most important Europe Football Clubs. The Slovakian batch is estimated at a little over 7 million euros and among other players, none of them over 1 million value, we can count some interesting figures like Jairo, the Brazilian forward, who scored nine goals last season and another interesting Rabiu Ibrahim, 24 years old brazilian offensive midfielder, forward Emmanuel Edmond and Gino van Kessel.

In all their previous encounters, the Romanians have always won against the Slovak opponents, Steaua Bucuresti won over Spartak Trnava, three seasons ago, sending home their opponents. Even so, for tonight`s dispute between the two sides, most probably will finish with a draw.
