Having finally kicked on this season with an impressive run of form, Internazionale are finally living up to the pre-season billing. Major signings such as Ever Banega and Antonio Candreva had Inter fans licking their lips with anticipation. The shadow of Cholo Simeone hangs over Pioli, but until then he can only do what he can with the squad that he has. Coming into this game, though, Inter know that they need another result to try and put pressure on their fading UEFA Champions League hopes. To overturn Roma or Napoli now would be nearly impossible, but results like the ones they have had recently makes it feel possible.

The big Colombian misses out with an injury, meaning that a return for the goalscoring Schick is likely. For Inter, though, they know they are on a winning run with 9 out of the last 10 home games being victories for the Nerrazzurri.
With 2 goals or more in 9 of those 10 home games, too, Inter know that they have the firepower and the capability to score and score well. They are an exciting side to watch. Sampdoria have seen minimal goals for or against in recent weeks, but this might be the weekend that changes.

While players such as Vasco Regini and Luis Muriel have made a positive difference, others such as Jacopo Sala and Barreto have not. It allows their forward players to attack with precision, allowing the likes of the rejuvenated Kondogbia to dovetail with Gagliardini as an exciting double-pivot.
