Czech Republic meets Germany , U21 EURO qualifiers for the semi-finals.
One of the most important encounters of the championship, may happen today, between Czech Republic and Germany, Group A, at the Eden Stadium, in Prague.
The Czechs are already determined to the semi-finals or secure the spot, considering that as they stand right now, one point should be enough for Germany to relax, but the Czechs need to win the game to secure their way in the semi-finals.
Germany won against Denmark with a 3-0 score, on Saturday, a pretty ugly defeat for the Scandinavians, in a EURO U21 final rounds, even worst as it was back in 2011 when they`ve lost against Iceland on home ground.
Amin Younes declared that the team wanted and tryed to improve step by step, game after game, and they managed to do just that after the victory at Eden Stadium, on Saturday. He also mentioned that the competition is very tight in the group they`re in and that they are preparing their match against the Czechs hoping to give their best in winning the game.
For this encounter Christian Günter will be there, after he “served his sentence” due to red card received in the match against Serbia and Emre Can will be available too after his minor injury he got Saturday, but it was more a precaution as he was already training on Sunday morning.
As for the Czechs, Václav Kadlec seems to be missing for the game against Germany as he was unfortunate enough to damage his ankle ligament on Saturday, so he will be seated for the next three weeks.
The Czech national seem to be in great shape, very confident and optimistic, as their forward Jan Kliment declared openly that they had a bit unlucky start but they„re in a good mood, enjoy playing football, don„t feel tired and Germany should be ”afraid” of them, so yes! It`s pretty obvious the fact that they believe in a victory today and a spot in the semi-finals, even if we have to say their position in standings is a bit different then it is for the Germans youngsters. Germany ar placed first with 4 points and the Czech Republic is placed third with 3 points, and we musn`t forget we`re talking about a last decisive match before the semi-finals.
