Brazil versus Venezuela, decisive match for qualifiers.
Tonight will witness a crucial match between Brazil and Venezuela, as they play the last match before finishing the group encounters for qualifiers.
Both sides have the same scoring, 3 points each, as the other two teams of the group, positioned diffrentely having diffrent goal-averages.
Brazil started the campaign in a favourable manor, as expected, winning the match against Peru, but lost against Colombia and during that game they`ve lost their captain too, for the future matches in Copa America.
Neymar, had a moment of uninspired movements and injured the one who scored the goal for Colombia in the 36th minute, Murillo. He got suspendend immediately, for the next four games. A great loss for the team, who anyways performed in strange fashion their last appearances. They`ve showed a lack of offensive skills and a rather divided team than an united one. Now without their captain, will be even more difficult to face a surprisingly solid Venezuela, who showed great determination and unity, hard work and positive thinking, in their way to the qualifiers, even though Venezuela is not one of the wealthy nations of the world, economically speaking, they don`t have the resources of other countries, but they keep going.
Venezuela`a Amorebieta was also suspended, maybe one of the reasons they`ve lost against Peru, as they had to finish the game with a formation of ten players, instead of eleven. Otherwise, they had real chances to draw or even win the game, as they showed a solid match and a united team against Peru. I personally wouldn`t say much about their performance, but we should definitely appreciate their efforts and their conationals should be proud of their national football team.
It will also matter a great deal, the result their group collegues manage to obtain, it will be decisive for their place in the standings, but till then, even if for the bookmarkers Brazil seems to start as favourite, considering their performance, which in my opinion, at the moment, can be considered a poor one, plus their missing captain and their lack of teamwork on field, I can`t really find the reasons for which they should start as favourites. On the other hand, there are some who are convinced that Venezuela have a real shot of drawing the match or even win it.
