Nevertheless, it was a match that De Boer could continue with, also in view of the criticism of his performance up to now as a trainer of the Dutch national team. Saturday’s line-up seems worth repeating, or De Boet has to exchange a defender for a midfielder or attacker. Frenkie de Jong as a central defender is also an option, in a duel in which there will normally not be much to do defensively. Jasper Cillessen is still not available, so Krul will normally defend the goal of the Netherlands again.
