Peru vs Venezuela – 19.06.2015
Peru faces Venezuela, hoping to get a shot of qualifying in the quarterfinals of Copa America.
Tonight we`re gonna` see two teams from Group C of Copa America, disputing a chance to qualify in the quarterfinals of the competition, we`re talking about Peru versus Venezuela.
Venezuela seems to be a surprise, so far, they are positioned in the first place, taking the spot of Brazil, who lost yesterday against Colombia, and is now placed second. Venezuela had a great start, with players with great energy and motivation, determined not to let themselves intimidated by other strong teams, with great reputation, in their group.
They have defetead Colombia as a proof of their hard work and it was kinda` shocking, but we all know that football is a sport of surprises.
Peru on the other hand, are placed on the last position of the group, scoring no points at all, so far, but they have a chance tonight to catch up with the others. It`s a must for them, they have to get something from this encounter, otherwise, their chances to qualify will be almost equal to zero.
Peru have lost from the start, in their opening game against Brazil, as it was somehow expected, but we have to mention and remember that they didn`t make it easy for the Brazilians, as they`ve had moments in which they had to struggle, but luckly they have the star! Neymar, who scored the winning goal with beautiful handle of the ball and making no mistakes. Now they need to take at least one point out of the game tonight to get back on track. Their advantage is that they have a really good defense, very tight and also have Salmon Rondon player of Zenit St. Petersbrough, a great asset.
The two sides, met back in March on a friendly match, game which Venezuela have won and in the last five games they`ve played against eachother, Peru has won 3 oh them, while Venezuela twice.
The match is expected to bring out the best of both teams, given the great importance of the encounter and the need of scoring, from both sides, but the odds seem to be in favour of Peru, considering is predicted a win for them over Venezuela, with a 1-0 score.
