Shakhtar Donetsk and Fenerbahce Istanbul will fight for a place in the Uefa Champions League play-off, Wednesday evening from 19:45, UK Time. The first leg ended without any goal in Turkey last week.
Shakhtar Donetsk were the underdogs in the first leg, but they managed to get an acceptable result. Anyway, they need a victory to qualify in the next stage or a goalless draw again to send the game to the Extra Times. Lucescu’s team is coming after a very good run, with four wins and a draw in the first five competitive games of the season.
Fenerbahce had a good summer, with good results in the friendlies, but also with some good moves on the transfer market, bringing in players like van Persie or Nani. The Turkish side is starting with the second chance at bookmakers and their mission won’t be an easy one for sure. Anyway, it will be a disaster for both teams to fail in qualifying in the group stage.
Shakhtar vs Fenerbahce prediction: Over 1.5 goals @ 1.35
Despite the first leg result, we expect a spectacular game here, maybe with goals from both sides. Anyway, we decided to not risk very much and we expect to see at least two goals between Shakhtar and Fener.
