PSG and Shakhtar Donetsk will be face to face today from 19:45, as usual, in the 6th round of the UEFA Champions League group-stage. It’s very clear which team has the first chance at the bookies and not only.
Paris Saint Germain had a good campaign so far, securing their place in the last 16 round. They have ten points, being on the second place in Group a, three points behind Real Madrid (1st) and seven ahead Shakhtar Donetsk (3rd). The hosts have an impressive goal difference too, scoring ten goals, two per game, and conceding only one.
The other side, Shakhtar Donetsk are coming here after a bad campaign in UCL group-stage, winning only three points so far, same as Malmo. Anyway, they are on the third place with a much better goal difference than Malmo. Shakhtar have no chance to qualify in the next UCL round and it’s very likely to see them in Europa League starting with February. Lucescu’s team lost the reverse fixture, 0-3 in Ukraine at the end of September.

Shakhtar are 99% sure about their place in Group A, the third one, considering that Malmo are very unlikely to get something at Santiago Bernabeu today. I expect PSG to confirm their superiority here, against a team without motivation at first view.
