FC Basel will welcome Sevilla in the first leg of Europa League last 16 round. The game is one of the most interesting of the current round and it will take place Thursday evening at 18:00, UK Time.
The Swiss team had to eliminate Saint Etienne to get here and it wasn’t so easy, after they lost 2-3 away, winning 2-1 here in the second leg. Basel seem to be in a good form this year, with four wins, one draw and one defeat after the winter break. They have a great experience in the competitions, but Sevilla made the rules in the last couple of years.
Sevilla had a decent campaign, not so impressive, but they looked excellent at home. When it comes about away matches, they had big problems and this is really strange, to be honest. The Spanish team managed to win only three of their 24 competitve matches away from home. As expected, Sevilla are in pole-position to win this game and also to qualify next week.
