Atalanta VS Crotone ( BETTING TIPS, Match Preview & Expert Analysis )™
PREVIEW & TIPS FOR Atalanta vs Crotone
In the run-up to the top match with leader Inter, Atalanta gets a welcome snack, as it gets a visit from last-minute Crotone. In October Crotone held its own with a 2-1 defeat, is that possible again or will Atalanta also waltz over this team?
Atalanta Team News
Atalanta managed to reach the final of the Coppa Italia in February at the expense of Napoli and did good business by also winning in the competition of Gennaro Gattuso’s team. It then started as a favorite with the bookmakers in the Champions League game against Real Madrid, but thanks to an early red card from Remon Freuler, they lost 1-0 to a stripped Real. To make matters worse, Duvan Zapata was injured and it is unclear when he can return to the selection.
Last weekend, Atalanta also managed to win the victory without Zapata on a visit to Sampdoria. Ruslan Malinovsky made the opening goal just before half-time on a pass from Luis Muriel, the striker who usually alternates the front position with Zapata. In the second half Robin Gosens threw the lock on the door with the 0-2. Atalanta took a deserved victory against a tough opponent where it lost 3-1 in October.
Crotone Team News
Crotone narrowly managed to maintain itself in the 2016/2017 season, but another stunt like this seems out of the question this season. After nearly two-thirds of the competition, the doctoral candidate is only twelve points, which means that he has less than half the points of fellow doctoral candidate Benevento, who is sixteenth. In January, Benevento was won, the other nine matches this calendar year were all lost.
Last Monday, the Crotone board took measures. Trainer Giovanni Stroppa was dismissed and replaced by 62-year-old Serse Cosmi. Cosmi is known for being hired from scratch at Perugia in 2000 and leading that club to victory in the UEFA Intertoto Cup by presenting them 18+ films leading up to the game. In the past decade, the performances of the clubs he led were a lot less impressive, but he is making progress as DJ Cosmi. Whether he is the right man to lead Crotone out of this valley is doubtful.
