Betting tips – France vs Sweden – 11.11.2016
France and Sweden will be face to face Friday evening from 19:45, UK Time, in the fourth round of the WC 2018 Qualifications.
France are starting in pole-position, as expected, with odds around 1.25 for a win. They have seven points and a 5-1 goal difference, exactly the same numbers as today’s opponents. France’s last home defeat took place more than one year ago, 3-4 vs Belgium in June 2015, in a friendly match. They will certainly try to get three points here, to take the lead in Group A.
On the other hand, Sweden impressed in the current campaign too, altough they are without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, retired from International football. As we said, the visitors have the same numbers as France, seven points and 5-1 goal difference, to be more exactly. Sweden failed to win any of their five trips here, ticking only two draws and three losses.
France vs Sweden probable lineups:
France (4-3-3): Lloris – Sagna, Digne, Koscielny, Umtiti – Kante, Pogba, Matuidi – Griezmann, Martial, Giroud.
Sweden (4-4-2): Robin Olsson – Martin Olsson, Granqvist, Lindelof, Kraft – Durmaz, Hiljemark, Ekdal, Forsberg – Toivonen, Berg.
France vs Sweden prediction: Goal in first half @ 1.33
Both teams have impressive attacks, but we expect Sweden to be more focused on defense. Anyway, we decided to bet on at least one goal in first part of the game, the odds being interesting and acceptable.
