Betting preview – AS Monaco vs Lyon – 16.10.2016
AS Monaco and Olympique Lyon will open the 10th round of the French Ligue 1. This is the main event of this weekend in France and it’s going to be a really interesting game. The clash is scheduled Friday evening at 19:30.
AS Monaco are a little in pole-position at bookmakers, but they are without victory against Lyon in the last three meetings. The home team had a bad start in the new campaign, proof that Monaco won only 13 points out of 27 so far, being only on the 10th position. More than that, AS Monaco is the worst team in Ligue 1 when it comes to home games, with two points after four matches at home.
On the other hand, Olympique Lyon have not impressed in the first nine rounds, winning only 15 points. They ticked four wins, three draws and two defeats, but their goal difference is a decent one, 11-6. With numbers like these ones, OL are on the 6th position, only three points behind the podium. Their last trip here took place eight montsh ago and it was a goalless draw.
Monaco vs Lyon prediction: Under 2,5 goals @ 1.70
We expect a tight game, with maximum two goals, just like in the previous meeting that ended with a goalless draw, back in February this year.
