Dynamo Kyiv against FC Shakhtar Donetsk, meeting in the very Final of the Ukrainian Cup.
Tonight will be the eighth time the Ukrainian Cup is being disputed between the two sides, last year was the last time. Both teams have a lot of experience in this type of competition, having participated several times, Dynamo have won ten of thirteen finals of the Ukrainian Cup, while Donetsk have had nine victories out of fourteen appearences in the Ukrainian Cup Final.
Dynamo as they`ve showed us, are in great shape and undefeat after the loss with Fiorentina, who eliminated them from the Europa League. Today, just a few days after the Ukrainian Premier League ended and where they have took the trophy, Dynamo is hosting Donetsk at the NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium and are hoping to win this too, would be a perfect way to finish the season, considering it will be a classic derby known as “Klasychne”, between the champions and vice-champions of the season.
Mircea Lucescu`s men have also had great performance in the last years, winning three consecutive Cup Finals in 2011, 2012, 2013. They have some well deserved victories in the Premier League too, five consecutive seasons, from 2009 until 2014.
This year, seems to be Dynamo`s year in football, they have finished first in the Ukrainian Premier League, having ten more points above “The Miners”, and we believe that they will count on the home advantage and also on the supporters and their presence at the Stadium today. they need a positive energy, even if they are a strong team, very determined, they really seem unstoppable. They also have players like Artem Kravets and Andriy Yarmolenko who will be the “center pieces” of the team in this event.
Our bets, as we can highly recommend it, would be on Dynamo Kiev tonight, considering they are the hosts, playing on home ground and also the results lately and their position on the table.
