Cobh Wanderers A.F.C. meeeting Avondale United in the second round.

Cobh Wanderers are visiting today Avondale United, after having played the first leg at the Old Church Park, for the second-leg with big hopes, in Avondale Park.

At the first-leg the two sides managed to draw 3-3, not what the Wanderers were hoping for, playing on home ground. The opening attack came from Avondale`s, on the fourth minute, after the ninth minute the Wanderers opened their attack too.They were really hoping to win the match and get some home advantage. They even had some good players, with league experience, like David O`neil and also five players who are serving the Army, so we have seen some ethical performance too.

Avondale United are a non-league team in Ireland, but a very strong one aswell, they have shown that in the FAI Intermediate Cup. They have managed to reach the finals seven times, and won every single time.

Cobh`s were and still are after a 3rd round of the FAI Cup, it would be the first time in their career.

It`s a tight competition between the sides, considering they are both playing in the Munster Senior League, the Wanderers are almost in the First Division, having just earned the promotion from the second Division, while the Avondale`s are competing in the Premier Division.

We`ll see an interesting match, with great expectations from the sides, The Wanderers seem to be favorits to this fixture, the odds are on them.
