Heerenveen have eliminated Feyenoord from the Europa League playoffs in Netherlands, thanks to Uth`s double blow in the extra minutes, creating an advantage, on Sunday, so they made their way into the finals along Viteese who also eliminated PEC Zwolle, and they will surely want to defend their accomplishment.
Vitesse are placed on the fifth place on the table, with 58 points, while Heerenveen are positioned on the 7th place with only 50 points. IT`s not a big diffrence if we consider the points, but the diffrence will be seen in the way of playing of the teams.
Heerenveen will host the final of the playoffs and Vitesse Arnhem will be the guests this time.
After having had a rather bad performance at the start of the season, SC Heerenveen have improved their game at the very end, having two more rounds to go.
Vitesse on the other hand, seem to be in great shape, having only one defeat in the last 17 matches, and recently the win over Feyenoord and a draw with Utrecht. All this brought points to the team, great boost to go on with the good performance, and they always focus. They must do that in the rounds left and will surely do it.They still have the midfielder Leerdam and striker Oliynuk, out on the bench, not having recovered from the injuries they suffered.
Even if Vitesse is the favorite of then night and theoretically should have greater chances to win this match, we musn`t forget the fact that in their last match they`ve played, the Heerenveen eliminated a strong team such a Feyenoord and they seem prepared for more.
IT will be exciting watching the game and waiting for the outcome, given the fact that the odds are on the Vitesse but we couldn`t possibly ignore the vivacity and energy of the sc Heerenveen.
