Federer vs DjokovicIt couldn`t have happened any better! Two giants meeting at Wimbledons Final: Roger Federer meets Novak Djokovic!

It`s the 40th time they meet, the giants of tennis, at Wimbledon`s Finals, today at Center Court, London. The first and second seeded players are facing today in well known place for both sides, both previous Champions, in several occasions, here at All England Club.

The Swiss, sent home Andy Murray, by 7-5, 7-5,6-4, in a high quality semifinal and he did with ease, winner of seven All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on grass. It seems he has been playing the best tennis in the last weeks at Wimbledon, as I said last week, he started the campaign in a great shape, very confident, decent like always, but with great determination, he needed this kind of “cheering up”, considering last year and a half we have seen very little of him in comeptitions, due to his health problems.

As for the match against Murray, Federer had a terrific strenght and his serves were incredible, he dominated he`s opponent and held on until the finish, landing 20 aces and 56 winners, and although Murray was always present, never gave up during the match, he didn`t manage to break Federer`s focus. It almost seems a natural thing to happen, it was expected from Federer to win the semis even if some were quiet skeptics.

Djokovic on the other hand played against Gasquet a poor start, sloppy I`d say, unusual, but he managed to sent him off eventually, some called it “surviving the French”, with 12 aces and 46 winners and it took him 2 hours and 20 minutes. He faces Federer for the third time at Wimbledon, after last years event, when he defeated Federer after five difficult sets, he finally took the title and sent off Roger by 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 5-7,6-4.

In all their career, both best and second best tennis players of the moment, met for 39 times in which Federer was victorious for 20 times, so it will be very interesting seeing what happens today, in their 40th encounter. It will surely be delight for the tennis lovers, enjoy!
