Novak Djokovic facing youngster Bernardo Tomic, Wimbledon third round.
Novak Djokovic, the Worlds No. 1 tennis player, has already won eight times the Grand Slam title, two times Wimbledon in 2011 and 2014 and it had a great start in this years tournament at the Australin Open, he`s set on getting great results, this year too. A very important role in his career has most certainly had former Wimbledon Champion Boris Becker and Marian Vajda, in coaching Djokovic.
Djokovic has recently won the game against Philipp Kohlschreiber, which lasted a bit over two hours of great effort from both sides. We are already used to see Djokovic making very little mistakes, mastering very accurately his serves and continues to show performance like a second nature. He proves every time he`s on the game surface, that he deserves the place he`s in and thet he`s the best player of the moment . He`s getting at the very least 65-68% of his first server, 57% of his second serve, 74 winners, 20 aces and made 34 unforced errors. It seems he`s playing after the “keep it nice and simple” saying.
Today he`s meeting Tomic Bernard, in the third round of the tournament, a very promising young player, who`s coming after a five set on victories, he`s getting pretty much the same numbers as Djokovic in matter of serves, aces, winners and errors. Tomic withstood 21 aces in his last match against Pierre-Hugues Herbert in a 7-6(3), 6-4, 7-6(5) win. He made quite an impression and he continues to climb the rankings in ATP. He seems very confident about the match against Djokovic, declaring that he could really win over Djokovic, it`s not really a surprise his enthusiasm, considering Djokovic himself declared that is having a difficult match ahead, against Tomic, he knows Tomic loves playing on grass and he`s good at it.
Now! As I said earlier, Bernardo Tomic may be a great youngster, but for now, in my opinion, it`s still early for him to overcome Djokovic, maybe in couple of years. Tonight you should put your bets on Djokovic.
