Brazil facing Colombia, Copa America Group C
Since they have suffered the worst defeat in the country`s history, at the World Cup last year, against Germany, Brazil is still working to restore the Seleção pride and rebuild their well known of high performance players reputation and since coach Dunga took the place of Luiz Felipe Scolari, the things are certainly going in the right direction, he has proven his skills and experience.
Tonight are playing along Colombia, a match of great importance in the Copa America for their Group C, eagerly expected especially by Colombia, occupying the last place in the Group, at the moment with no points whatsoever, while Brazil are on first place with 3 points.
Last year in their last match one against another, Columbia tryed to stop, in a sense, the Brazilians performance and as a result it turned out to be a very harsh and challenging match which finished with a back injury of the main man in the team of Brazilia, absence that cost them a great deal when they`ve lost the World`s Cup Final. So this time, Brazil will surely be prepared and as I said earlier, eager to undo some uncomfortable events.
Dunga has included Miranda, Atletico Madrid`s player, center defense, then there`s still Neymar, Barcelona`s star, who really started showing himself after being nominated captain of the national team and demonstrated some great things, even against Peru, he scored the winning goal. Beside that we have to mention Diego Tardelli in attack and the Chelsea player Willian. So we can honestly say that Brazil has everything that`s needed for a long way favourable finish in this years Copa America.
On the other hand, Colombia also have their centerpiece or superstar, James Rodriguez, the youngster that last year has proven himself against Brazil, becoming some sort of international football icon, receiving also a contract offer with Real Madrid. He made his country proud and gave them a confidence boost right away, showing them that it`s possible. Bad luck for Falcao, good luck for Rodriguez, one injured, the other one given the space to flourish. As an aditional great thing, now Falcao is back, playing for his national, and is expected to do great performance. They could use all this good “stuff” because, unlike Brazil, they have the need to evolve in this group and beyond.
The predictions for tonight, considering all the facts above, makes us think that the sides will finish the game with a draw, with scoring from both teams.
